The barricade issue in Bandar Mahkota Cheras has generated newspapers’ headlines in last two days. Peoples were injured and some of them have to be sent to the hospital for treatment. It is really terrible that peoples has been neglected their rights for better living due to privatization I wonder why we need a highway if better access is not the main consideration. We pay because we want to get better access to certain place. This can be debatable, but at least this is the only valid reason for us to pay the toll. To the residents in BMC, I should salute their patients for more than 4 years. Their abilities to travel 6km and RM0.90 toll for every trip out from their homes. The developer who promises the resident to have a short-cut access has to come out to solve the problem as well. Now, the MB of Selangor was there to solve the problem. It will not happen if Khir is the current MB. Our work minister is yet to make a statement, but for sure, they will say that there has nothing to do with this.

Not sure how these deals go but the fact that the federal government always claim that they need to pay these pirat.., I mean private, companies if they cannot make money or raise the toll or raise tariffs or what not just makes me suspicious.
The implication that these contracts guarantee profit for the companies is just ridiculous. If these are guaranteed money making businesses, why did the government want to privatise them in the first place? Doesn't make much sense to me.
No brain!
