According to Procedures

As long as everything is according to procedures, then you can say it loudly and proudly, even you can dare to say “Nothing to hide”!

See how:

“He said all actions taken that led to the sacking of then Lord President Tun Salleh Abbas was done according to the law and constitution.”

“The purchase of Sukhoi jets and Scorpene submarines were made based on proper Government procurement procedures.”

“I have done nothing wrong. All the work I have done is in accordance with procedures. I challenge the present government to try and find anything on me.”

We should do things not only according to procedures, but every penny should be well spent, every single decision should be carefully taken in the sake of peoples’ needs. Otherwise, we should review all these procedures!

I think that working according to procedures and doing the right thing are 2 different matters.

You can follow the procedures but make use of the loop holes in the procedures for personal gain.

Or you can follow the procedure and work in accordance to the spirit in which the procedures were made in the first place i.e. for the good of the people. That's the right thing to do, as an elected representative.

All these hiding behind procedures to justify what they have done is sickening.
