Technology for Assiting the Poor

I always believe that with all that I have learned so far. I should be one day helping others using the technology I have and contributing back to the society.

By the way, you see how peoples come out with the research ideas that helping the social.

Energy Harvesting Active Networked Tags for Disaster Recovery Applications (EnHANTs) focuses on the design of disaster recovery system that will enable locating people trapped by fires and survivors of structural collapse. The key components of the system are Active Networked Tags that will be embedded in the building structure and carried by the users (for example, attached to their clothing). Other components will include cell phones and wireless mobile devices.

The active tags will be small and flexible device that will harvest energy from the environment (for example from light or movement) and will have ultra-low power communications capabilities. They will be attached to objects that are traditionally not networked and adapt their communications and networking mechanisms to satisfy their energy constraints.

In case of emergency, they will move to a special mode in which they form a network and transmit information (for example, last known location) to receivers which will be deployed by the rescue forces around the disaster site. In a long term emergency (a structural collapse), the tags will optimize the energy consumption for continuous and efficient operation.

CelloPhone

Electrical Engineering Department, UCLA;
Dr. Aydogan Ozcan, Dr. Neven Karlovac, Dr. Yvonne Bryson

In resource limited settings, such as in the villages of Africa, there is no infrastructure to conduct even very simple medical tests such as blood counts. To combat various infectious diseases such as malaria and HIV there is an urgent need to be able to analyze bodily fluids such as whole blood samples in a cost-effective and simple way that can even be conducted by minimally trained personnel. For such blood tests to be performed in the field, we need wireless technologies that can capture the micro-scale signatures of various blood cells even at resource poor settings. And cell phones offer a great match for this purpose since: (1) they are already widely used almost everywhere; and (2) they are equipped with advanced technologies that could be tailored towards the needs of such medical tests. Such a wireless health monitoring technology that runs on a regular cell-phone would significantly impact the global fight against infectious diseases in resource poor settings such as in Africa, parts of India, South-East Asia and South America.

The CelloPhone Project aims to develop a transformative solution to these global challenges by providing a revolutionary optical imaging platform that will be used to specifically analyze bodily fluids within a regular cell phone. Through wide-spread use of this innovative technology, the health care services in the developing countries will significantly be improved making a real impact in the life quality and life expectancy of millions.

The core technology of the CelloPhone Project relies on an innovative on-chip platform, developed by Prof. Aydogan Ozcan’s Group at UCLA, which we term LUCAS—Lensfree Ultra-wide field Cell monitoring Array platform that is based on Shadow Imaging. For most bio-medical imaging applications, directly seeing the structure of the object is of paramount importance. This conventional way of thinking has been the driving motivation for the last few decades to build better microscopes with more powerful lenses or other advanced imaging apparatus. However, for imaging and monitoring of discrete particles such as cells or bacteria, there is a much better way of imaging that relies on detection of their shadow signatures. Technically, the shadow of a micro-object can be thought as a hologram that is based on interference of diffracted beams interacting with each cell. Quite contrary to the dark shadows that we are used to seeing in the macro-world (such as our own shadow on the wall), micro-scale shadows (or transmission holograms) contain an extremely rich source of quantified information regarding the spatial features of the micro-object of interest.

By making use of this new way of thinking, unlike conventional lens based imaging approaches, LUCAS does not utilize any lenses, microscope-objectives or other bulk optical components, and it can immediately monitor an ultra-large field of view by detecting the holographic shadow of cells or bacteria of interest on a chip. The holographic diffraction pattern of each cell, when imaged under special conditions, is extremely rich in terms of spatial information related to the state of the cell or bacteria. Through advanced signal processing tools that are running at a central computer station, the unique texture of these cell/bacteria holograms will enable highly specific and accurate medical diagnostics to be performed even in resource poor settings by utilizing the existing wireless networks.

CellScope

Bioengineering Department, University of California at Berkeley;
Dr. Daniel Fletcher, Dr. Erik Douglas, Dr. Wilbur Lam, Neil Switz, Robi Maamari, David Breslauer

The CellScope project aims to address disease diagnosis and treatment challenges in developing countries by enabling clinical microscopy and wireless communication of healthcare information in the field. By clipping a compact optical microscope onto a camera-enabled cellular phone, we are creating a mobile microscopy system that increases the capabilities of healthcare workers as well as the speed and reach of healthcare delivery.

Much of the developing world is ravaged by infectious disease, and local infrastructure is often absent or crumbling. Optical microscopy is the diagnostic gold standard for many of these diseases, but the necessary equipment and trained personnel are often not available in a resource-limited setting. However, the presence of reliable cellular communication in these places presents a tremendous opportunity for healthcare delivery and can serve as the platform for an affordable and reliable method to diagnose patients in remote areas.

We are developing a system for cell phone microscopy, called the CellScope, capable of on-site disease diagnosis and wireless transmission of patient data to clinical centers for further evaluation, treatment recommendations, patient management, and epidemiological studies. Our device extends the concept of telemedicine to diagnostic microscopy using commercially-available camera-enabled cellular phones. The CellScope takes advantage of the robust cellular network in the developing world and the well-established and trusted technology of optical imaging to meet the tremendous demand for portable infectious disease diagnosis. Carried by local health workers, this mobile and inexpensive technology will make high-quality microscopy widely accessible, improving patient care and relieving the burden on under-resourced regional clinics. Vodafone Americas Foundation™ support will enable development and deployment of field-ready prototypes for use in evaluating device effectiveness for malaria and tuberculosis diagnosis and monitoring.

Tokyo Taste

Hiroshima Taste

You will find soba in the Okonomiyaki from Hiroshima and not the Okonomiyaki from Osaka. The toyko one is in liquid form and not as delicous as the one that you can find in Osaka and Hiroshima. Anyway, you should try out all if you do have opportunities to do so!

Mobile Phone in Japan

Mobile phones is quite common in Japan, even students in primary school carry the mobile phone. However, I observed that in the train or subway, using your mobile phone for conversation is considered rude. Near the priority seats, the passengers are advised to switch off their phones. During the journey from Osaka to Kanazawa, the Thunderbird Limited Express has one room (near to toilet) specified for passengers to use their mobile phone. So, it seems that Japanese still consider talking to others in the train or subway is not a good behavior.

QR Code in Japan

I am quite impressed on how Japan has used QR code for advertising and information sharing. I have seen the QR code in the "one-day pass" in Kyoto which is linked to the timetables of the city loop bus. QR code can be found everywhere, such as magazines, shopping malls, railway and etc. Peoples there are using their mobile phones with camera to read the QR code and then be linked to certain web-site. It seems that Japanese is really good in adapting the technologies to their daily life.

Here, you can purchase "Flower Muji Mobile" using your mobile phone.

I just found out that even my passport now has the QR code. The immigration official in Kansai airport put the sticker with QR code in it.

Alan Wiley was unfit?

Yes, it's true if you did watch the match between ManUtd vs Sunderland. He was unfit. He took almost 1 minutes to give the Yellow card. He blocked the players' way to run because he ran very slow in referee standard. High tempo game will become low tempo because of this unfit referee. I strongly agree with Fergie. Alan Wiley was unfit!

Am I going to get 300Mbps from my 802.11n AP?

The standard answer is "it depends"!

So how?
First, you need to configure your AP to work in 40MHz channel bandwidth.
Second, you have to make sure that there is no other non-802.11n APs surrounding your AP.
Third, your laptop should use 802.11n device.
Fourth, there is no other non-802.11n devices connected to your AP.
Fifth, all the 802.11n device connected to your AP should use 40MHz and not 20MHz channel bandwidth.

So in reality, there is almost impossible to get the full speed of 802.11n in 2.4GHz spectrum. It may be possible for 5GHz spectrum.

Stupid DOs who waste Our Money

Read this and this and this and this. Where's the Rakyat money?

If there is no Selcat, who will ever know this!

Suddenly, a Katak (jumped from one party to another, even our Dr M also said that he's now welcomed) who previously summoned by Sultan Selangor came out to defend them.

It's nothing wrong. With his limited knowledge, he still want to be the MB. This make me laugh!

Katak is dangerous. Beware PR!

The DOs who have committed somethings "wrongful" should be quit from the post.

Linux Driver Migration

I have spent more than 1 week to migrate the wireless network driver from Linux version 2.6.15 to 2.6.28. It’s not an easy job. As usual, there are modifications required for the driver to work with newer Linux version. First of all, you need to compile the source code and ensure there is no complaint generated from the compilation process. I have encounter that the cross-compiler toolchain created with different GCC compiler may behave differently and generate different warnings and errors. Base on my observation, the higher the Linux version, the less tolerant the operating system to the driver’s coding errors.

Some of my conclusions from the migration:
- The core of Linux network devices driver has made significant modifications. Check it at ./net/core directory.
- The older compiler will be more stable compared to the newer compiler at least less warnings will be generated.

Stupid Remarks

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said after meeting the committee members, he was “convinced” there was no political motive on the part of the protestors.

- Maybe not from the residents. But those who bring along the cow's head. They should be brought forward and investigated.

The protestors had stamped and spat on a cow’s head during the demonstration. The cow is considered a sacred animal in Hinduism.

“They also had no intentions to raise racial or religious tensions by using the cow’s head as accused by certain groups lately,” he told a press conference after the meeting at the Ministry here on Wednesday.

- Again, not the residents but for those who have conducted such a silly act!

He said also it was not the first instance that irresponsible parties had resorted to using the heads of animals in protests.

“Before there were incidents in which a pig’s head was used by irresponsible parties, including one which was wrapped in the Umno flag and left at the Umno building (in Menara Tun Hussein Onn here),” he said.

- Ok, this was the most stupid thing that I have ever heard. Suddenly, he mentioned UMNO, so UMNO is involved for sure. Otherwise, he will use better example. This issue has nothing to do with political party. But an article in Utusan claimed that noise becomes louder after PR takes over. Strange! Then, he claimed that other irresponsible peoples had done it before. Nothing wrong this time. Is this what he wants to say? Silly, stupid, irresponsible Home Minister!

He did not say when the alleged pig’s head incident took place.

- Then, he does not have the fact but he can say that as he wants!

Hishammuddin said that the organisers of the protest had “not realised that someone had brought a cow’s head to the demonstration until the last minute.”

- Again, the residents have their rights. But who are the culprits?

He added that his Ministry would monitor the discussion “closely” to ensure that a “win-win situation” could be reached.

- Bye, bye. We leave it to our stupid politician to solve this.

MCA = Mahu Cari Angpau = Money Collect Agency

MCA complaints, then we understand, even GE did not say it, we all know. But Gerakan complaints for what? If the money is from the peoples, should we question it or shut up our mouth!

Protest with "Kepala Lembu"

Irresponsible act and we Malaysian (1-Malaysia concept from Najib) sad to see what have been done above.

You still read some funny statements:

Selepas bekalan air dan elektrik dimasukkan, aktiviti mereka semakin hebat. Kuil itu hanya di seberang jalan rumah penduduk Islam Seksyen 19. Apa perasaan pembaca apabila setiap hari kami terpaksa mendengar lagu-lagu Hindu yang membingitkan telinga?

Bila mereka mengadakan keramaian mereka buat perarakan di hadapan rumah penduduk Islam. Gangguan bergendang keramaian berjam-jam lamanya.

I agree with some claims. But how come suddenly the sound becomes louder when PR takes over the state government?

More Bullshits from Our Politicians

OTK said that his minister has not received the invoice so cannot pay for that.

“In a statement by my secretary yesterday, there was no such invoice,” he said.

His secretary said that he will pay using his personal account.

Ong’s political secretary Simon Lim said if there was any invoice requesting payment from Wijaya Baru Aviation Sdn Bhd, the minister would honour it through his personal account.

The public are starting to talk about you do not act according to procedures, then only you said that you pay using your personal account. Stupid, stupid and stupid. If nobody ever knows this, are you paying using your personal account. The answer is obvious!

Then our MACC director of investigations has said that maybe they need to stop probing politicians. Stupid, stupid and stupid. Peoples are questioning your integrity and sincerity! All PR and BN politicians should be treated equally and fairly. That's all, but this stupid fellow knows nothing and understands nothing. Perhaps, refuse to understand the facts!

PKFZ scandal has been talked about for years. What has MACC done? You said that you want to be efficient. Just forget it!

Insaf

This is a good word that I have learned from our national language. But until today, I have not seen many of our politicians really understand and practice this for what he/she does for his/her life. It's hard for Malaysia to move forward if they are no such a word "insaf" in their mind. They keep on denying any wrong doing. They keep on blaming others. How are they going to improve our nation if they refuse to learn and admit their mistakes.

Damage is done for MACC. Not matter how they do it later. The damage is there, unless the DG really put an end to it by quitting his position with dignity.

What technologies that this company owned?

A worrying sign!

Forgetful Koh

Koh To Consult Penang Gerakan On Kampung Buah Pala Controversy

A forgetful Koh needs to consult his party before making comments. Actually, what he wants to say. "I'm sorry, I have been pressured. Or....." We all knows the answer.

According to Lim:
"Firstly, Koh must explain why as Chief Minister, his Executive Council had approved the state government land of Kampung Buah Pala to Koperasi Pegawai Kerajaan Pulau Pinang, first time on 18th August 2004 and second time on 8th June 2005 at a very low premium of RM6.42 million or RM20 per square feet."

But if you do promise, you need to fulfill it.

Come to end, Gerakan is still the initial of all the problem! This is the fact and cannot be denied with just relasing press statement.

Juris Doctor

Thanks to discussion with PK yesterday and further searching the information. Here is definition of Juris Doctor:

- Juris Doctor is a first professional graduate degree and professional doctorate.

From Bernama:
Oh holds a degree each in aeronautical and mechanical engineering, and another in German language, apart from a double masters -- in science and international management -- as well as Juris Doctor in Law (JD), obtained from his eight years of study at the University of California.

From Malaysiakini (cn):

Bear in mind, this is just a first degree not the PhD equivalent.

H1N1 or Selsema Babi

Rais Yatim said that it's difficult to pronounce H1N1 rather that "selsema babi" for reporters. So using the "selsema babi" will be easy for sending the message across. But anyway, it's good to find out the reason why it is called "swine flu" at first.

Why is novel H1N1 virus sometimes called “swine flu”?
This virus was originally referred to as “swine flu” because laboratory testing showed that many of the genes in this new virus were very similar to influenza viruses that normally occur in pigs in North America. But further study has shown that this new virus is very different from what normally circulates in North American pigs. It has two genes from flu viruses that normally circulate in pigs in Europe and Asia and avian genes and human genes. Scientists call this a "quadruple reassortant" virus.

Passive Thinking

“If we build the ERL linking Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, this is not good because the Singaporean will then buy the houses here.”

A passive statement that I have heard really upset me. Liberalization of air services in Asean is going to happen soon. I don’t really understand why peoples still have this kind of mentality. It makes me sick. It’s like saying that “if we don’t allow peoples to come in, then we will own all our resources.” But until when?

Where's the Money come for Real Madrid?

How comes a club can afford to buy the players with such an incredible price?

From UK Independent:

Real rich: Where Madrid's money comes from

* Clubs in Spain are free to negotiate separate deals rather than central contracts. Madrid signed a £700m seven-year deal with MediaPro in 2006, seeing them easily top £100m a year, double United's earnings.

* Their bids for top players are also aided by Spain's tax laws – foreign players pay tax at just 23 per cent for their first five years. In England the 50p tax means clubs have to pay more to match wages on offer in Spain.

* The club's status in Spain helps them maintain their place at the forefront of European football. All debts they hold are with local banks, rather than relying on American billionaires or Russian oil companies. These banks are pressured to allow Madrid certain unwritten privileges, such as low interest repayments on loans. Their stature and standing in the country means they are unaffected by issues that could affect smaller clubs.

* Real Madrid have finished top of the Deloitte Money League for four years. The Bernabeu enjoys the third-highest average attendance in Europe while overseas trips generate revenue through ticket and merchandise sales.

How does the structure of the club differ from other leading sides? (from timesonline.uk)

Real are one of four Spanish clubs - the others are Barcelona, Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao - who were exempted from a 1991 law forcing teams to become plcs. This means they hold regular elections to determine who will lead the club. The president then selects his board and appoints his men to key positions within the club.

No evident was found, but it looks suspicious. Anyway, this makes me think whether this is the only way to clear the debts. I am wonder whether it is any possibilities for UK football teams doing the same since almost all the teams there have debts.

Never mind. Different set of rules in Spain and any other leagues in Europe. So what's the function of EU? Just wonder......

Funncy Comments from Benitez

After watching ManUtd winning the EPL, Benitez, the Spanish guy came out with some really funny comments.

"It's the team that has more points, that's all," said Benitez.

"Sometimes they can be the best at the beginning, in the middle or maybe with consistency, but it just means they have more points.

"It depends on the time of the season. I don't think I ever said we were playing the best out of everyone, maybe just at certain moments.

"I do have a lot of respect for the other teams, but to say who is the best at one moment is not easy - there are a lot of good teams in the Premier League."

One Malaysia, But then?

PM announced "one Malaysia" but read here, an article that can be found at UM.

- Blame each others in BN begins. It's true if MCA, Gerakan, or MIC leaders becomes 2nd PM and the whole BN governments are still corrupted. BN will still reject by the peoples.

- Who ask for that? Who liar to the peoples? BN still don't understand and realize.

Usahlah mengharapkan sangat perubahan sokongan bukan Melayu.
- PM should teach them the concept of "One Malaysia".

Maybe, it's time!

Read what's our DPM say in the interview. It seems that he still don't understand the sentiment of the peoples. If you see how a former MP in Selangor wasting peoples money to Disneyland and etc., you will know why the peoples reject BN. With such a stupid DPM, I don't know how our PM going to improve our nation.

Chicken 65 in the Menu

I first saw the dish "Chicken 65" during my short stay in Chennai, India 5 years ago. Today having lunch at Hassan Cafe, I spotted the same dish in the menu. I am quite curious with the name Chicken 65. Why 65? My first thought was that the dish was invented in 1965. After google it, here the descriptions:

"Chicken 65 is that the recipe originated in an army mess hall where the number 65 referred to the recipe number on the cook's menu list." see here.

Anyway, don't forget to try out this dish whenever you in Chennai.

A Day to Remember, But For Wrong Reason

It's confirm! 30 minutes later, we will have our new PM. Good or Bad, who knows...

BBC News:

Mr Najib is expected to take over as prime minister on Friday. He has described allegations concerning the murder of a Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu, as "malicious baseless lies". Two policemen who used to be in his protection team are on trial for the killing of the 28-year-old, while one of Mr Najib's associates admitted having an affair with the woman.

Taipei Times:

Najib has repeatedly denied opposition allegations connecting him to the 2006 slaying of the mistress of a close aide whose body was blown up with explosives.

Telegraph:

It predicts that Mr Najib's main tactic for rebuilding the government's authority will be attacking or even persecuting the opposition. "I think the focal point is on limiting the opposition and their ability to organise," she said. "The other tactic is intimidation."

Daily Express:

But the carefully planned transition hit a snag when all 81 opposition politicians in parliament sent a joint petition to the king asking him to delay Deputy PM Najib Razak's swearing-in until he has been cleared of allegations of corruption and involvement in the murder of a young Mongolian woman.

CNN:

Najib also brings with him a whiff of controversy. Two former bodyguards are facing charges in connection the murder of a Mongolian model. He has denied all links to the killing.

Al Jazeera:

The opposition has repeatedly accused Najib of corruption in a deal to buy French submarines when he was defence minister. It has also alleged that he was linked to the killing of the Mongolian mistress of Najib's close former aide. Najib has labelled the allegations as "malicious lies".

StraitTimes:

He also faces a belligerent opposition, which accuses him of corruption in a deal to buy French submarines when he was defense minister. It has also alleged he was linked to the killing of a Mongolian woman, who was the estranged lover of a close friend.

Bangkok Post:

However, analysts say that before Najib can begin to tackle these issues, he must first clear the air over opposition allegations connecting him to the 2006 slaying of the mistress of his close aide -- a Mongolian woman whose body was blown up with military-grade explosives. He has also angrily rejected allegations of corruption, and that his administration will adopt hardline tactics including detention of its opponents under tough internal security laws.

The Washington Post:

Najib, the son of Malaysia's second prime minister, also faces a belligerent opposition, which accuses him of corruption in a deal to buy French submarines when he was defense minister. It has also alleged he was linked to the killing of a Mongolian woman, who was the estranged lover of a close friend. Najib has denied the allegations as "malicious lies."

Quotes of the Week

Link

Bad example! That is the way that our stupid politicians think. As simple as that, if you are a murder, you are a murder.

Jokes from Ahmad Said (Updated)

Issue of his son bringing child pornographic material into Australia:
“I can bet with you that it’s something that you will find on most men’s handphones”
“Why are they targeting me? I did nothing over there. It’s like committing a traffic offence here and paying the summons – and then the father gets blamed for it. Is that fair? It’s brainless”

Issue of Perak Speaker:
“The Speaker is deemed as an officer of the civil service and can be investigated for abuse of power”

Issue on Money Politics in Umno:
"Setakat ini, kita (SPRM) tidak jumpa apa-apa kesalahan (berkaitan politik wang) dan oleh itu, kita anggap tiada kes"

Interview with TheStar on PR MB and not Barisan MB been charged:
It was because there was a report against those Mentris Besar. Report-lah on the other (Barisan) MBs if they have committed corruption. It’s not like MBs cannot be charged. Report if you have the evidence and let us charge him.

Interview with TheStar on Khir Toyo:
He was cleared. There was no evidence against him. This was a long ago, not during my time. As for the reports lodged against him yesterday, those are actually the same old reports being repeated. Those cases have already been closed. If the evidence given is the same as before, there is no reason for us to re-open the case. We can re-open the case only if they produce new evidence.

Syabas!

Tan Sri Rozali Ismail, the chairman of Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) and Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd, said today the RM5.1 million salary paid to him in 2007 for running the companies was justified.

“If you want professionals to run your company, you have to pay professional fees.”

Are you satisfied with your quality of water in your home? How many of us are forced to buy the filter because the water supplied to us is in unbearable stage? What does he contribute to us in terms of our quality of lives? Why should we pay him such a big sum of money with no return? If your product is water and you are not able to provide it in good quality, then you are failed and unjustified.

Sultan and Raja, don't Let us Down Again!

It must be appreciated that the events unfolding in Perak are unprecedented and involve complex legal issues. It is impossible to provide a conclusive opinion on them. Some matters may, however, be addressed generally as a matter of principle.

Today 27 Assemblymen in Perak were prevented by the OCPD from entering the State Secretariat building, apparently upon “instructions” from the State Assembly Secretary.

The role of the State Assembly Secretary now comes under scrutiny. He is an official appointed from the public services and is only responsible for the administrative management of the State. He therefore has no authority to decide or pronounce whether a legislative assembly sitting is valid or not. The police have therefore acted improperly on his advice in defiance of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. These errors are further compounded by events that transpired in the High Court.

It was asserted before the Court by the plaintiff’s lawyers that the Speaker ought to be represented by the State Legal Advisor rather than private lawyers. There is certainly legal basis to disagree with that view but a more substantive matter of general principle must be addressed as to the position of the State Legal Advisor

Firstly, every lawyer must act on the instructions of his client and not otherwise. The Speaker has stated that he never gave instructions to the State Legal Advisor to either appear for him or to argue the case on his behalf. This is a matter that the Court must satisfy itself of before proceeding.

Secondly, the State Legal Advisor is clearly in a position of conflict. He and his department are presently acting for Dato’ Zambry in the Kuala Lumpur High Court suit where Dato’ Zambry’s appointment is being challenged. How can he or his department now act for the Speaker against Dato’ Zambry?

If the parties who file and defend proceedings in Court are confident of the strength of their case, there is little reason to taint or mar the proceedings with acts that militate against natural justice and fair play. It bears repeating that justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done. The Courts have a duty to uphold the highest principles of justice, fairness and their own independence. We must respect the doctrine of separation of powers and uphold the Federal Constitution.

The Legislative Assembly was convened by the Speaker a short distance from the State Secretariat building. There are questions as to whether it was permissible to hold the Legislative Assembly outside the State Secretariat building. Of course, the State Secretariat building is where the Legislative Assembly ought to have been held. However, the Speaker and Assemblymen were prevented from holding it in the proper place by the police (and this raises serious issues as to the legality of the police action). Thus the Speaker had no choice but to act within what may be seen as wide powers to convene the meeting elsewhere. No doubt there will be contrary views but it must be understood that this situation is unprecedented and the Standing Orders may not adequately cover these eventualities, thus leaving the Speaker with the powers to act according to the circumstances of the case.

We will no doubt see another case filed in Court. And the public has to further suffer the consequences of uncertainty.

The situation is untenable and cries out for the one thing that will resolve it conclusively – fresh elections. There is now a window of opportunity for this to happen. Let the people decide.

Desperate Move from BN in Perak

We have witnessed all the silly things happened in Perak. It's all because the move by BN perak to take over the PR government in such unprofessional way. Perhaps, the only major mistake from BN perak is that they forget to kidnapp the speaker.

See some of the silly things did by BN Perak:
- Closing the state building on 3rd March. Yes, they can do this since the officials in the state building probably fear that they will lose their job.
- Asking the police and MACC to investigate the speaker. I am not too sure whether these are allowed. As you know, we all have learned about the doctrine of separation of powers in our history books.
- Applying for a declaration in the Ipoh High Court that the suspensions are invalid. Suddenly, the court is become so powerful that they can decide everythings in Malaysia.

"Jika keputusan yang dibuat oleh Speaker boleh dianggap sebagai satu jenayah, apa akan jadi jika Speaker Dewan Rakyat menggantung ahli pembangkang kerana apa-apa sebab? Dan ini kerap berlaku. Apakah ahli pembangkang akan lapor kepada polis? Jika boleh maka bolehlah kita anggap bahawa polis berkuasa keatas Speaker Dewan."

Stupid Remarks from Our MCAC

A stupid and irresponsible Ahmad Said said that the MCAC has “strong evidence” against the Selangor MB. But why you gave the statements without first bringing the person to court and doing it “silently”. Stupid! It is ridiculous and only gives the perception that our MCAC is the UMNO-lead agency. Most of the malaysians definitely think that MCAC is not independent. Now, I think it’s true!

Malu

Ruler of Selangor said the increasingly worrying situation at the global and regional levels warranted the people to strengthen unity despite their differing viewpoints.

- The ruler in Perak is the one who create all the uncertainty to the Perak politic by allowing and indirectly encouraging the "buying" of assemblyman. So, who to blame and how the peoples could respect them?

Internet - Dalai Lama on AirJaldi

"The internet's contribution to the diffusion and dissemination of knowledge and information is truly remarkable. By itself the internet cannot feed the poor, defend the oppressed, or protect those subject to natural disasters, but by keeping us informed it can allow those of us who have the opportunity to give whatever help we can."

"New" School "Re"open

You could call it whatever name you like. It's "re"open at last. We should ask for more if demands are there. Not just one. Be fair.
